Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS) Release 2.0 Workstation Manager

  • Directed team of 6 engineers to design and test the Release 2.0 NT workstation solution project including authoring project documentation, researched and monitored software and hardware vendors, and delivered status briefings to United States Army and Boeing management.
  • On-time and under-budget delivery of workstation solution including final delivery of hardware, custom designed installation CD’s, and instruction manuals.
  • Maintained vendor relationships with hardware and software suppliers.
  • Evaluated and selected software and hardware prior to inclusion in the release.
  • Responsible for computer lab configuration passing all security audits.

Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS) Release 1.0 Server Team

  • Delivered an NT Server based solution including hardware, custom designed installation CD’s, and instruction manuals as a package to Guard and Reserve offices.
  • Evaluated and selected software and hardware prior to inclusion in the release.

Development Manager for Electronic Briefing System (EBS)

  • Directed the system installation, configuration, and testing of the EBS in a LAN and WAN environment. Led a team of 8 programmers, engineers, and support staff to create resource and funding requirements, and created customer requirements documentation.
  • Faster software and lower cost of the software product, to the customer, by creating and implementing a new delivery process involving work directly with the customer. This became the test case for the ‘Rapid Prototyping Development Program’.
  • Successfully migrated NASA management from a paper and view graph meeting format to a fully electronic format.

Senior Member – Boeing Site Support Team

  • Team lead for 8 member Site Support Team providing end-user support to NASA and BOEING personnel at the Space Station Freedom Program Office. Duties included planning and implementation of large scale platform upgrades, installation and configuration of new equipment (PCs, Printers, etc), and software configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Oversaw the conversion / upgrade of 500 PCs across the entire program over a single weekend.
  • Created installation scripts to facilitate large scale upgrades.
  • Supported NASA program-wide activities through successfully installing large scale, temporary networks.
  • Provided end user training and support to NASA and Boeing employees.
  • Provided hardware and software installations and upgrades.
  • Superior service maintained for the RCAS finance network through managing DOS, Mac, and Windows workstations and Novell Servers.
  • Ensured Business Continuity as a member of the Boeing Disaster Recovery Planning Team.
